Most of us have never experienced something like this in our lifetimes, and my heart goes out to those in the event industry - which is taking one of the biggest hits at the moment. Events all over the world have been either postponed or cancelled, including several I was either running or going to speak at. We also went through this very difficult time back in 2008. At the time, our company had a lot of momentum, events were booming, and it came to a screeching halt. I saw many speakers with powerful messages exit the industry, and I don’t want that to happen again. I’m very happy to say we got through it back in the 2008 recession, and had a breakthrough year because of how we were able to adapt!
In this multi-part series, we’re going to discuss how to pivot and thrive in our business during hard times - because we understand the impact it’s having in the speaking and event industry, and we’re sharing the same struggles you are.
